Childflight
Childflight are a charity which provides medical flights and holidays for sick children in the Northwest of England. I wanted to design a fun looking site that used colours which captured the idea of a holiday.
The Music Centre
The Music Centre is a music school and shop in Kirkham, Lancashire. A requirement of the site was that music played whilst the user browsed. I wanted to ensure that the music remained playing when the user changed pages in the site without using frames so I developed a slick AJAX interface. The colour scheme was selected to remain true to the decor of the school and shop.The Music Centre has now closed down, but the site is archived here.
Ashton Crystal Engraving
Ashton Crystal Engraving are a Preston-based company who engrave bepoke designs on glassware. They specialise in elegant gifts such as Champagne bottle and glass sets. I wanted to convey the elegance of the gift items that were being produced with this site. I also used a Lightbox on the photo gallery for a really nice effect.
Perfect Origin
Perfect Origin are a rock band from Preston. I wanted to do an experimental design with this site: an expandable area above the content area and the banner and menu to the left of the content (which is also expandable). Again, this site needed to have music playing throughout the user's visit without restarting when the user changed pages. This site uses the same flash-based music streamer as The Music Centre site.The Perfect Origin website is no longer online due to the band splitting up but I have hosted a copy here.
